4. You will also require some adhesive and grout. More than likely, you will need some mortar type material, and/or some adhesive that is appropriate for ceramic tile and some grout.

Subflooring

Now, gathering up the tools for the job is the first bathroom remodeling step to laying ceramic tile. The second step is to actually prepare the subfloor area. It is important that you perform this step before actually trying to install the ceramic tiles. When preparing this area, it is important to remember that you must lay a subfloor type that you wish to lay your ceramic tile on. You should make sure that the flooring is sturdy, in good condition, and that there is no debris on it. If you make certain of this, you will succeed at it. Measuring the Floor

Installation

Once you have established how many tiles will be needed, and have discovered your center point where you will start laying the tile, the next step is to start installing the tiles! The best way to do this is to lay the ceramic tiles one by one, without sealing them. Once all the tiles have been laid, you can then go back and seal them. Once they are sealed in place, you can then lay the grout and the flooring will be ready for use!
